A beautiful Sunday morning with Macallum Youth’s players arrived earlier . It was the day to mark some ‘histories’ for the team . It was the first time that all the players did the warming-up together as a team and it really made each one of the players proud of their appearance and the team spirit . Secondly , it was the first match for Wen Wei after a long-absent for the past few matches due to injury and the newly recruited young-rising-player , Eh Yah Chun (Shorty Chun) and of course , it was the first time for Macallum Youth to play with people from outside Penang Island . The match started around 8.45am , 15 minutes later than the actual time . Both teams looked good with the possession of the ball . It was then , C.Keat get the return-pass from Wen Wei and gave a beautiful run toward the opponent goal post . Just before C.Keat shot , he will upended by the opponent last man and the referee was not hesistated to give Macallum Youth a penalty . L.Hua stepped-up for the penalty and he made no mistake by slotting the ball in passed the right side of the goalkeeper . A few minute laters , Macallum Youth’s attacking force seem to make something more from their numerous attempts to break the keeper’s deadlock . The opponent’s goalkeeper came out to clear the ball but so unlucky , the clearance went off unclean onto Kelvin’s foot . Kelvin pushed the ball forward a few steps before slipped the ball into the back of the net to widen the gap , 2-0 . As the referee looked as his watch - to stop the match for half-time , T.Khee took the ball from L.Hua from the left side and gave a sharp through ball to Kelvin who was at the right place slotted in his second goal’s for the day . The match halted 15 minutes at half time with the scoreline ,3-0 . Second half started with some changes made by Macallum Youth , Shorty Chun came in for Y.Tat . A few moments after the signal of the second half , Kelvin took the ball from the left and dribbled pass a defender before gave a low-shot passed the goalkeeper ; 4-0 . The opponent seem to try to cope with the pressures given by Macallum Youth’s attacking force . A low-goal-kick the opponent’s goalkeeper allowed Jimmy took the ball but he miscued it . Lucky enough for Macallum Youth , L.Hua was on the run and Jimmy took the loose ball back again and passed the ball to L.Hua who easily slotted in another goal for Macallum Youth . Few minutes after this goal , Jimmy stole the ball from the center defender and dribbled the ball one-on-one with the goalkeeper . He then faked the goalkeeper to the right before passed ball to the on-the-run C.Boon who easily tapped in for Macallum Youth’s sixth goal . Few minutes later , Jimmy again did the same thing but this time the ball went too fast for C.Keat who shot the ball . The ball hit the one of the defenders’ hand and the referee decided that it was a penalty . Macallum Youth decided to let Shorty Chun to take the penalty but he missed it . However , he repaid Macallum Youth’s faith onto him by scoring a marvelous goal . He took the ball from the left and dribbled pass the opponent’s right defender before gave a top-corner shot to make the scoreline far more than expected , 7-0 plus scoring on his debut . The opponent , Boys from Seberang Perai’s efforts at last showed it’s fruit . A cross by the right winger was misjudged by Wen Wei who was then the last man . The striker took the cross and gave a tap-over Taufiq . It was so beautiful that the ball hit the upper-post and thus , falled into the net , but surely it was not going to be more than a consolation for that team . Last goal for Macallum Youth was contributed by L.Hua who dribbled passed a defender from the left before slotted pass the goalkeeper . The match ended with the scoreline 8-1 .
