It was a perfect Sunday morning . Everyone woke up and arrived at the venue earlier than the opponent . At first it was kinda uneasy for the whole team because the time was almost up with the referees and the opponent (Swansea FC) were no where to be seen . Plus , Boon , C.Keat and T.Siang were not in sight too . Some of the players thought that the match will be cancelled . However , after a few minutes , the opponents arrived at last , so did the referees . As everyone was getting ready , C.Keat , Boon and T.Siang too had arrived as well . There were some changes for the formation since the newly recruited L.Hua and the-long-time-absent Y.Tat came for the match . Hence , Kelvin and Khiew started off as substitutes . The match started off badly for Macallum Youth with a few dangerous to score from Swansea FC . Macallum Youth replied their opponent with few shots and one of the shots from Malik hit the low left post . A misjudge from Jimmy allowed Swansea’s striker to be opened and he made no mistake by placing the ball beautifully over the Taufiq who was the goal keeper . A few minutes later , Swansea added salt on Macallum Youth’s wound with a fantastic volley from their midfielder which pull the gap to 2-0 . The current formation proved to be a threat for Macallum Youth , hence a few changes were made with Jimmy switched place with T.Khee and Eugene was pulled back as the last man . Y.Tat then subtituted out for Kelvin . With the formation , Macallum Youth seem to be backed for the real business . Jimmy took a through ball from L.Hua and gave a good dribbling passed one defender and carefully tried to slipped through the goalkeeper but his attempt hit the woodwork . A foul from the Swansea’s defender gave Macallum Youth a beautiful placing for a freekick . Kelvin took the freekick nicely but was again hit the upper goal post . Malik tried to shoot with the rebound but he miscued it . Luckily L.Hua was at the right place , he smartly gave a low shot passed the goalkeeper . Half time arrived with the scoreline 2-1 . Manager/Coach T.Siang gave a few instructions and changes on the formation for the players at half time . 15 minutes later , the referee whistled signalling the match to be continued . 2nd half , Macallum Youth proved to be more effective on their attacking force . A sweet tap on the ball from Jimmy , gave L.Hua a chance to score and he made no mistake by slotting through the low left of the goalkeeper and it was an important equliser goal . Few minutes later , a pass from C.Keat to Jimmy who controlled the ball well and dribbled pass the defender at the right-wing-side . Jimmy wasted no time and quickly dribbled the ball into the penalty box who then gave a powerful shot into the top-left of the goal . The team celebrated the goal but the referee waved the goal as a set netting . A true disappointment for Macallum Youth but they made no arguments to the referee . A few minutes later , Kelvin gave a lob-over to Malik who was open on the right side of the field but the ball was too fast for Malik and the goalkeeper was out to take the ball . However , lucky lady seem to smile to Macallum Youth . The goalkeeper slipped and couldn’t catch the ball , Malik took the loose ball and slot in the third goal for Macallum Youth . As the match went on , a sharp through ball from the defenders gave Kelvin one-on-one with the goalkeeper . He dribbled the ball to the left and turned around before placed the ball nicely pass the goalkeeper . It was about 15 minutes from time , Boon gave a sharp through ball for Jimmy from the left and again , the ball was too fast to be chased and the goalkeeper came out to catch the ball . Who knew , the goalkeeper made a blunder and the ball passed between his legs . Jimmy , who was on the run , took the loose ball and dribbled into the goal . Few minutes before the match ended , Jimmy dribbled the ball from the left and tried to slot passed the goalkeeper but his effort was again hit the low-left-post . Malik was at the right place , onside , simply tap the ball in . Final score , Macallum Youth won 6-2 . A great come-back .
